The 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser, also known as Prado in some markets, officially debuted in the United Kingdom. The American-market Lexus GX has always been based on the Prado, and this refreshed new model will be the basis for the 2011 Lexus GX.
The body-on-frame 4×4 retains much of the features made the outgoing model popular. Features in the top British version include a 14-speaker CD stereo with hard drive, optional adaptive air suspension, and three-row seating apparently now with a fold-flat last row.
While the Europeans only get a 3.0-litre turbodiesel, models coming to the U.S. will surely get a 4.6-litre V8, if not also a 4.0-litre V6.
The Euro-spec 2010 Toyota Prado is expected to fully debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.
